2027 season protection plan: how to build it and save money

In winter, agronomists have time and suppliers offer more flexible terms. Farms that draw up their protection plan in autumn and winter get better prices, guaranteed product availability and a calm spring without hunting for 'whatever is in stock'.

Step 1. Analyse your fields

• Which weeds dominated, where were there disease and pest problems?
• What worked and what did not in 2026?
• Crop rotation for 2027: what you will sow, where and on what area.

Step 2. Build a program for each crop

For each crop — treatment stages, active ingredients and rates. Ready-made stage-by-stage programs are in the section «Protection programs». Rotate active ingredients with different modes of action — this slows resistance in weeds and diseases.

Step 3. Calculate the budget

• Quantity = rate × area for each product.
• Compare the cost of treatment per hectare, not the price per litre.
• Set aside a reserve for contingency treatments.
